Bellydanceextraordinaire is the most professional bellydance group in Singapore. This group of experienced bellydancers is bound to captivate your senses with their attractive costumes and mesmerising movements. Our founder and top dancer Jamila can also inject interactivity to the show with an ‘audience interaction segment’ where your guests will be taught some basic bellydance steps by the dancers.It's a great way to get your guests involved in the party and moving with the music!

Jamila is a professional performer and artiste,she is the Singapore Golden Flower, has been invited to perform in many events and TV shows. audiences includes MM Lee KuanYew and President Nathan. Jamila’s speciatlies include complex, crisp zill-playing (Arabic finger cymbals), drums and cane dancing, and dramtic veil dancing.

Some popular choices include:

• Bellygram

  This is a 12-15 minute performance that is perfect for private parties. Includes the use of prop (finger cymbals, veil, and/or cane).

• Double Bellydance Show

  A solo dancer will perform for Two 15-minute shows with a costume change in between sets. Great for larger events. Includes the use of prop (zills, veil, and/or cane).

• Bellydance Duet or Trio

  Two dancers perform! Jamila and her beautiful dance partner will provide a fun filled evening of traditional belly dance performance and audience participation. Great for large parties, or corporate events.

• Performance & mini workshop

  A typical performance show is around 30 minutes. The dancer may use finger cymbals, swords, veils, and candles. When appropriate, the show may include audience participation, for example, the guest of honor may be asked to belly dance! after that, we will contribute a mini belly dance workshop (20-30mins)to let guests to learn basic belly dance moves.and our professional drummer will teach guests some Arabic rythem,that’s a lot of fun.

Is it appropriate for children?

Yes, the belly dance show is family friendly. Children often love to dance, too! and I always bring along extra veils, and accessories to make them more enjoyable.

What kind of music is used?

What do I get in the performance?

Depending on your preference, music can range from classical Arabic to modern pop. the music collection also includes Turkish and Persian favorites. A typical performance includes an exciting entrance piece with riveting rhythm changes. I frequently put a veil and finger cymbals into my dancing. Following that, I will invite the guests of honour up to dance with me (always in a tasteful, fun manner) to an upbeat song if they like．Shows always end with a amazing drum solo dance. My costumes and presentation are of the best quality available.

What about out of town and international shows?

I live in Singapore. Shows outside Singapore will need to be booked far in advance. Travel fees need to apply depending on the location.

What if I need more than one belly dancer?

Jamila has her own professional bellydance troupe. We can provide more dancers! Dancers can dance separately or together.

How far in advance should I make the booking?

It is always better to book the show sooner than later. Saturday nights and holiday performances should be booked well in advance.
